SHARJAH, UAE / RankWire.AI / – Air Arabia will begin nonstop flights connecting Sharjah and Gdansk starting December 14, 2026. This new route creates a direct link between the UAE and northern Poland. The airline will operate five flights weekly between Sharjah International Airport and Gdansk Lech Walesa Airport. Flights will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. This route offers travelers in Poland’s Pomeranian region a direct air connection to Sharjah.
On Mondays and Saturdays, flight G9 0628 departs Sharjah at 4 p.m. and lands in Gdansk at 8 p.m. The return flight, G9 0629, leaves Gdansk at 8:50 p.m. and arrives in Sharjah at 6:10 a.m. the following day. On Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, flights from Sharjah depart at 8:15 a.m. The return service from Gdansk takes off at 1:05 p.m. and reaches Sharjah at 10:25 p.m.
Gdansk will become Air Arabia’s fourth Polish destination from Sharjah. The expansion planned for December will include new services to Gdansk, after already serving Krakow and Warsaw Chopin Airport from its main UAE hub. Additionally, flights to Katowice will commence on Dec. 17, 2026, just three days after the Gdansk service launches. The Katowice route will operate four times a week, further increasing the airline’s presence in Poland.
Gdansk enhances direct connectivity with northern Poland
The new Gdansk route broadens Air Arabia’s European network from Sharjah, adding a Baltic coast destination. The airline also flies to major European cities including Athens, Vienna, Prague, Milan, Munich, Rome, and London Gatwick. Gdansk Airport serves the wider Tri-City area of Gdansk, Gdynia, and Sopot, along with other northern parts of Poland. It offers both domestic and international flights, catering to leisure and business travelers across the region.
Air Arabia Group CEO Adel Al Ali stated that Gdansk would strengthen the airline’s footprint in Poland. Tomasz Kloskowski, President of Gdansk Airport, emphasized the direct link between the Pomeranian region and the UAE. The airport has identified Sharjah as a transfer hub for onward flights to India, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and East Africa. These new flights will connect Gdansk travelers with Air Arabia’s broader network via its Sharjah hub.
Starting in December, five weekly flights are planned
Air Arabia operates Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft across its routes and has opened bookings for the Gdansk route. The airline’s schedule lists flight G9 0628 for departures from Sharjah on Monday and Saturday. The return flights will be G9 0629. On Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, flights will be G9 0626 from Sharjah and G9 0627 from Gdansk. All timings are local, and the route will be nonstop both ways.
The launch on Dec. 14 will expand Air Arabia’s direct Polish network just before the carrier begins flights to Katowice. With services to Krakow and Warsaw already in operation, these two new routes will give the airline four Polish destinations from Sharjah. Gdansk will host five weekly flights, while Katowice will operate four weekly flights under the announced schedule. Air Arabia confirms that the Gdansk start date and five-flight weekly timetable are set for December 2026.
