RAS AL KHAIMAH, UAE / RankWire.AI / – Air Arabia will restart daily nonstop flights between Ras Al Khaimah and Kozhikode on October 16, 2026. This route reestablishes a direct link between the UAE emirate and the southern Indian state of Kerala. Tickets are already available through the airline’s sales channels. The route will connect Ras Al Khaimah International Airport with Kozhikode International Airport. Air Arabia announced the resumption on October 6.

The daily flights will provide travelers with an additional direct option between the UAE and India. Kozhikode, also called Calicut, is a key city on Kerala’s Malabar Coast. The announcement did not specify departure or arrival times. Nor did it mention which aircraft will be used for the resumed flights. Air Arabia has not shared flight numbers for the October restart. Passengers can check current schedules when booking their tickets.
Air Arabia Group CEO Adel Al Ali welcomed the route’s return. He stated the daily flights would give customers a convenient link between Ras Al Khaimah and Kozhikode. The airline also highlighted the strong travel demand between the two locations. The announcement focused on improved connectivity, increased frequency, and the confirmed restart date. No passenger projections or traffic estimates were provided. There were no other operational updates included with the announcement.
Daily Flights Expand Ras Al Khaimah’s International Network
The reinstated Kozhikode route will join several other international destinations from Ras Al Khaimah. Currently, Air Arabia operates nonstop flights to Cairo, Islamabad, Lahore, and Peshawar from the emirate. Kozhikode will return to this network from October 16. The airline started flights from Ras Al Khaimah International Airport in May 2014. Since then, the emirate has remained one of its main bases in the UAE.
The Kozhikode service first launched on November 22, 2023. Initially, there were three weekly flights on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. These flights used Airbus A320 aircraft under flight numbers G9 728 and G9 729. The new schedule will increase the frequency to daily. However, the airline has not confirmed whether those flight numbers will be reused. Operating times for the resumed flights are also yet to be announced.
Tickets Available for October 16 Resumption
Passengers can buy tickets via the airline’s website, call center, and travel agencies. These options were confirmed alongside the route’s restart. The airline did not specify when the previous Kozhikode flights stopped or why they were suspended. It also did not mention the starting fares for the flights. Details about aircraft assignment are missing as well. The only confirmed information includes the route, daily frequency, and October 16 start date.
The resumption restores a nonstop route between Ras Al Khaimah and Kerala nearly three years after it was first launched. The service will now operate daily instead of the original three-times-weekly schedule. It will again connect the two airports directly, without stops. Travelers seeking flight times, fares, or flight numbers should review current booking info before traveling. Air Arabia has not announced any additional changes to the Kozhikode route beyond the daily restart.
