SHARJAH / RankWire.AI / – Low-cost airline Air Arabia revealed plans to grow its Southeast Asian routes on Friday, increasing flight frequency between the United Arab Emirates and Thailand. Starting October 25, 2026, the airline will add a fourth daily non-stop flight linking Sharjah International Airport with Suvarnabhumi Airport in Bangkok. This change raises the carrier’s weekly non-stop flights on the Sharjah-Bangkok route to 28, offering more scheduling choices for leisure and business travelers. Air Arabia increases Bangkok flights to four per day from Sharjah to meet rising regional travel demand across key corridors.

The new Bangkok flights complement the airline’s existing services to Thailand, which include 21 weekly non-stop flights between Sharjah and Phuket. With the new fourth daily flight to Bangkok, Air Arabia will operate a total of 49 weekly non-stop flights connecting its main hub in Sharjah with destinations in Thailand. This expansion boosts air connectivity between the Arabian Gulf and major Southeast Asian tourism and trade hubs.
Official fleet disclosures show the route will be serviced by Airbus A320 and Airbus A321 aircraft. These single-aisle planes are outfitted with cabin configurations that prioritize passenger comfort while maintaining low-cost efficiency. Onboard amenities for this non-stop route include the SkyTime free in-flight streaming system and SkyCafe catering service. As Middle Eastern airlines expand international capacity ahead of the busy winter travel season, Air Arabia is increasing Bangkok flights to four daily from Sharjah.

Air Arabia Group CEO Adel Al Ali stressed the Thai market’s importance in the airline’s international route portfolio in a company statement. He pointed out that the expansion reflects ongoing passenger demand for budget-friendly flights between the UAE and Southeast Asia. Al Ali added that offering four daily flights to Bangkok, along with Phuket services, provides travelers with more options and reinforces Sharjah’s position as a regional aviation hub.
Industry experts note that this increased capacity aligns with broader economic and tourism integration between the Gulf Cooperation Council and East Asian nations. The extra daily flight allows the airline to provide multiple departure times, facilitating seamless connections for travelers from other hubs across the Middle East, North Africa, and the Indian Subcontinent.
Budget Airline Model Promotes Growth in Regional Air Traffic
Passengers booking the new flights can earn and redeem points through the airline’s AirRewards program. Reservations for the new fourth daily flight starting October 25 are available via official channels, travel agencies, and online booking platforms.
Regulatory authorities and airport operators in Sharjah and Bangkok have updated their operations to accommodate the additional flights. All operations will follow international bilateral aviation agreements between the UAE and Thailand.
